War against Cancer | My War Cry

Who says you have to be on the battlefield to feel patriotic? Who says you have to lose someone fighting for the nation before you start to understand the gravity of a war?
We understand wars always have a winning and a losing side. It's always better to be on the winning side, which is for the obvious reasons.Because, who would wanna be on the losing end? Are we crazy ? No, we're sane people and we like to be safe. Also, we're sane people, and we like to stay in a denial. We like to think that wars don't affect us..and we'll never have to fight our own wars. Well, go ask a Cancer patient. Or a person who's lost someone to Cancer. They'll tell you that it's one hell of a war, that they only have to fight for themselves. No great man can guard their own territory or body, which is their own by right. It just gets invaded by something so small, and yet leaves behind ruins of what was once a 'fine man'
How many such fine-men have we lost to Cancer? Way too many I'd say.

Who says you have to be a cancer patient, so that you can understand the gravity of the disease? Who says you have to lose a parent or sibling to cancer before you start becoming passionate about helping others with cancer?
Well, that's my story. Seeing my passion, people often assume that I have been in someway , affected by the disease. Well, I have been..just not in the obvious way.Which is losing a loved one to cancer, or battling with cancer myself. But all I can say is, I am intrigued by Cancer. Such a tiny change in some cell in the body can turn someone's world upside down. It leaves the person wondering what they did wrong in their lives..it makes them question God..it really is a kind of a test that some are chosen to give..and it doesn't really depend on the people what they become , next. Some become aloof and depressed, blaming God, questioning God, blaming karma, etc..Some become stronger in an unusual manner..stronger in faith..stronger in their minds..and it doesn't matter what happens next.

But all of us, who haven't been directly affected by it, have a very important role to play. We are the ones who can think and act objectively, not the people affected by it. It's wrong to expect so much of them. People like us, should take up the responsibility of fighting back..just like in a war..Because something that kills thousands and thousands of people, demands a war.And a war that requires unity of all alike. And if we don't fight this war now, we'll be on the losing side. All of us. Sooner or later. Because this disease is the most cruel killer of the finest people, and it demands a WAR.
